Climate and energy

Ketan Joshi

What to Expect on Stage

The core of my motivation for working on climate is the refusal to accept the fate anyone puts in front of me and presents as inevitable. I think energy technology is what we make it. Even technologies I love and support, such as wind power, can be used in destructive and harmful ways, so we fight to stop that while maintaining love for tech. The same paradox exists in the digital world and its physical manifestations; in fact it's really all part of the same system. Oversized, inefficient software isn't the digital world we want to live in, and nor do we have to accept its presentation as mandatory and inevitable. So out of love for technology, we fight to stop it from being harmful and hateful.
