What to Expect on Stage

On stage, expect a talk that cuts through the noise. Asser has a rare ability to make the philosophy behind technology concrete and urgent, drawing on her experience as a researcher, executive, and parent. She doesn't deal in abstract ethics. She shows you what AI is quietly changing, and what we can actually do about it.

About

Elisabeth Austad Asser holds a PhD in artificial intelligence and ethics from the University of Agder, and brings over twenty years of experience in digitalization, marketing, and change management across major Norwegian organizations. She has been at the center of the technology shift, as a leader, a researcher, and a parent, and has deep, hands-on knowledge of how algorithms can reshape organizations, people, and society. Asser is an engaged public voice and a sought-after speaker, known for making big questions about technology, ethics, and sustainability accessible and compelling to any audience. Her book Teknologiens makt explores how AI doesn't just solve tasks for us. It changes the very lens through which we see the world. Algorithms already decide who gets a bank loan, how doctors reach a diagnosis, and which voices get heard in public debate. The book asks a question worth sitting with: do we want a society that is merely efficient, or one that is also fair, trustworthy, and sustainable?
